Your ancestor Teunis W. Slingerland did serve in the Rev. War.

m. 1) Rachel Bogart
and possibly to Agnes Wilbeck.
He was a Captain and served from New York.
He did not receive a pension, in fact, no one from his family did either.

There is also an Albert Slingerland and a Gerrit Slingerland listed in the Patriot's Index. If you would want this info, you may contact me at the email listed above.

If you are interested in joining the DAR you may want to send for a copy of someone's papers that joined the DAR on his name.

You would need to send a $10 check made out to
Treasurer NSDAR or $30 if you want all of the names I listed.
