The person you are looking for that was killed by a knife was John Hart's Brother "Daniel", who John named his son after.
Daniel (his son) did have a daughter who stayed in NJ to live when Daniel moved to Va.-WV. I am from that line of Daniel and have lived in the Elkins area as a child and go to the Hart Family Reunion every year in Beverly WV, as close as we can get to July 4th every year.
