I think we found Nathaniel Woodson Venable's Daddy with the Revolutionary War service.

The following information was listed in the index.

Nathaniel:
born 10/21/ 1733 VA
died 12/27/1804 VA
married Mrs. Elizabeth Michaux Woodson
Patriotic Service VA

Since someone has established membership in the NSDAR through him, you may obtain a copy of the DAR application with the patriot’s information by sending a check for $5.00 payable to Treasurer General NSDAR. Mail the check along with the information on the Patriot to: Record Copy Department; Registrar General NSDAR; Administration Building; 1776 D Street NW; Washington, DC 20006-5303. Please send only one check and request per envelope. Requests for record copies may take four to six weeks as they are very busy.
