WE have just finished proving me for DAR. My Patriot is James Westervelt of New York. I know that he was in the Malitia and fought in the Battle of Long Island (his first battle) I also bleieve that his son was John Westerfield and I believe he was a Doctor. I believe that he died at the Fort in 1578 and was a doctor for the Cherokee Nation
