damn. I hoped there was still some extant S.S. Pierce this Christmas but I'm 35 years too late. My grandparents shopped there for years. The food products came in beautiful objects. I remember a series of beautiful brass chests, and I inherited a carved Chinese teak chest that came full of food. My grandmother prepare3d for WWII and in the 70s we found a basement room full of emergency canned goods, all from S.S. Pierce. Even as late as that my family purchased cans of Rum Baba[?] pastries.
Damn. How dare you leave the scene?
