I realize your response was several years ago, but a Christmas present of a framed SS Pierce advertisement from 60 years ago got me looking for some information and I ran across your post. Both my grandfather and father worked for SSP. My grandfather in the warehouse and my father as a salesman. My wife's father also worked at Pierces, and she and i met when our fathers got us after school jobs in one of the SS Pierce stores (on Boylston St).
