When Pretty Boy was hiding from the law,he hid out at an uncle,s house. The uncle's name was Ted Echols. I was told long ago that Prett Boy's mothers maiden name was Echols. I can trace my grandfather:Henry Blair Echols to his birth in 1873 in Georgia. I have always heard that Pretty Boy was a distant cousin of ours. The Echols/Floyd families have a connection but I can't find it
