My father was John Laneer who retired back to Johnson County in 1970 where he lived until his death in 1983. We have heard pieces of the Cruce story all my life, and I am very excited to find this Alabama story. My grandfather was William Green Laneer. The relative from Denver must have been my Uncle Bob (Robert Green Laneer) who died some time ago. He grew up in Johnson County, but lived in Colorado during the 60's. He moved back to my grandparents
home on the Old Wire Road probably in the 70's. As for the poster, I've never heard of that, but his son lives somewhere near Denver now. I would be delighted to hear anything about this. Thanks
