After reading the message above, I noticed the Hurley listed above was from Inchigeelagh in County Cork. My Grandmother was a Hurley but was from Dunmanway in County Cork which is about 15 miles from Inchigeelagh and she married an O'Leary from Inchigeelagh. You might try Dunmanway for the Hurley clan as well. Grammie arrived in the USA through Ellis Island some time in the 1890's as did my Grandfather and both settled in the Boston area where they met and married. Both were deceased in 1954. I do not know if the Catherine Hurley you speak was my Grandmothers sister (She had one named Catherine who my Mother was named)since no one really kept records and most of the knowledgable people to ask this questions of have long been deceased. Most of the clans stayed in one area and didn't go very far from their home in Ireland. My grandparents grew up 15 miles apart and never met until coming to the USA. Good luck on your search. I haven't started researching the Hurley side of my family tree yet.
