Hi, have gone onto your website, thanks.
From what I and others have found is that Ann was married to a Richard Callaby. A few documents support this however no one has been able to find any birth or immigration records for Richard. He apparently was born in Norfolk, UK. Not sure who your John is? However, is there a possibility that JOHN was actually his name and RICHARD his second or vice versa and he was known as JOHN to his family but in official records he was listed as RICHARD? It is worth considering since no one has been able to find the immigration records for a Richard.
The Ann on the Adam Lodge does not appear to be our Ann as this passenger was actually already married to man called Irvine before she got on the ship. However she and this husband did go and live in the Hunter area. (I found this information recorded at the SAG in Sydney)
Ann and Richard's daughter Maria was married to Peter Charles Macnabo, McBow etc., but his birth date was about 1820 in Ireland - not in 1830. He was transported as a convict in 1833 at the age of 13. Finding any birth records for him seems impossible.
Hope this helps. I am sure others on this thread may be able to help as well here. I will investigate this RICHARD/JOHN thing; it may solve a few mysteries.
