I discovered that G. A. McLean and Patrick Luter defended Tom Brown. Maybe I can find them in the papers. And the Find A Grave info was helpful, too. My Uncle Tom was born about 1874-1876. So he and Murray were in the same age range. Again, thanks for your help.
