thank you so very much for the reply. I am at present attempting a "family reunion". There has not been one in many many years. This is a result of building my family tree. One thing that is very very difficult for me is that I did not grow up with either paternal or maternal side of the family much (I was in foster homes due to moms addictions) So I do not know a lot of the family lore that may help me with clues. So far my fathers side of the family is an open book. Ive run into a problem with my great granny and knowing a lot about her. I have a feeling her real name is not something I know. On one census where I know she was married to the gentlemen listed as head of household the wife is called "Toy", I dont know if this was a nickname or whatever. But I have been gratified to find many distant cousins and develop a online relationship.
I have been very comforted that I have a lot of family out there. Thank you for the reply. I now have about 2000 people on my tree. Mostly on my paternal side. But I keep working. Happy Holidays. Candy
