Hi,

My ancestor was Richard Prentice, a U.E. Loyalist of Upper Canada. In Pringle's Appendix B, he was described thusly:
Richard Prentice: 1785 Called Loyalist by G. Hamilton, 100. A. Mc.L. a Blacksmith. Stamped Book.

Can somebody please tell me what A.Mc.L. might stand for? Also, I am unable to determine who G. Hamilton was. Thanks so much for any help.
