Obituary
Mrs. Selma Pasanen
Funeral for Mrs. Selma Pasanen, a Portland resident most of her adult life, will be at 2:30PM Monday in Riverview Cemetery Chapel.
Born in 1887 in Vassa, Finland, Mrs. Pasanen died Friday in a Puyallup, Washington rest home where she had lived for the past four years. She came to the United States in 1903.
She was a member of the Finnish Brotherhood and Neighbors of Woodcraft and was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.
Survivors include a son, William J. Pasanen, Puyallup; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Richards, Mount Vernon, Washington, Mrs. Marion Grohn, Seattle and Mrs. Irene H. Hockert, Portland; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pasanen, Mrs. Selma
Age 83, former resident of Ballard, passed away Friday. Member of Jovita Baptist Church, Neighbors of Woodcraft. Survived by one son, William J., of Puyallup; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Richards, of Mount Vernon; Mrs. Miriam Grohn, Seattle and Mrs. Irene Hockert, Portland, Oregon. Ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Services were held today, Powers Funeral Home, Puyallup.
