My guess is that the abbreviations LPC and Ph Def mean Likely to Become a Public Charge because of a Physical Defect. He was sent back to Europe on the vessel St. Paul on July 22, 1922.>>

Jerry, can you help me out by telling me where on the manifest you see this information? I see the stamp saying he was deported, on the first page. On the second page I see the handwritten notation of his vision problems. But I didn't see the inspector's name, date of the deportation order, or date/ship of return. Where do those appear? Thanks!
