Sorry, but I couldn't trace the arms that you describe to any entries in the name of Gregory. The nearest arms to those described are Gregory (of Lastingham, Yorkshire) which are Or two Bars Azure in Chief a Lion passant of the second (Azure ) crowned of the first (Or). There is no crest or motto associated with these arms.

There is also a Gregory (of Styveehall, Warwickshire) Or two Bars Azure in Chief Lion passant of the last (Azure) armed and langued Gules. There is a crest for this one - a demi-Boar rampant Sable collared and crined Or - Motto:Vigilanter.

There are another couple of Gregory entries along similar lines, but in all cases, the Bars are Azure, not Gules - they're from Kent and Lincolnshire though.
