I have searched several books regarding the motto without any success. I think that you will have to take it to a Latin translator to find out its meaning.
With the crest of a rampant lion ducally gorged holding a mullet in the dexter paw - I have searched through about 6,000 different crests [twice, just to make sure] used in British armory and can find no rampant lions holding mullets. However, I did come across three DEMI rampant lions holding mullets in different positions. Of those three, I can only identify one as belonging to any specific family. I have scanned images found <<
