Thanks for your interesting post on Marie Laveau. Just a couple of details ... St. Louis Cemetery #1 is on Basis Street, one block past North Rampart. The Laveau house on St. Ann Street was torn down in 1903 - the current building is not her home. The old warehouse where she operated a liquor business however is still standing just past the end of Burgundy St. Also, the famous portrait of Marie Laveau by Charles Massicot Gandolfo is in the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum at 724 Dumaine St., New Orleans, La. 70116, 504-680-0128.
