Thank you for sharing. I have heard similar stories. My gggrandmother rode side saddle on a horse all through the mountains. She was paid the same way that your Grandmother was paid. My Grandmother also had a black bag. I would love to know what they used to treat people with, also what things were in those black bags. I know they used lots of plants and herbs, because that was all they had available to them. My Grandmother told me that my gggrandmother once delivered triplets, and they all lived. That was quite unusual for that time. People came from miles around to see the triplets. Thanks again
