I suspect that I was the one who posted the original enquiry. I think I was required to memorize the poem Winnipeg At Christmas in around grade 4 at Champlain School in the north end. If that was the grade, it would have been around 1947, a long time before 1965/66. I did receive reference to it and a copy a few years ago, and it satisfied my "need". In looking at it, I realize now there is something wrong with the meter in the second verse.
