I don't know if anyone is still following this thread, but here it is, two Christmasses later, and I too was searching for that Winnipeg at Christmas poem I memorized at Linwood School in old St. James sometime in 1965 or 1966... So thanks, Allison, whoever you are, for posting it!
Now does anyone know who "Rose Fyleman" was? And did Fred Penner really record her poem as a song? How great, if he has kept it alive for another generation of Winnipeg school children!
