I have some family heirlooms, the oldest being a silver pitcher (small) that came with my 3rd great grandparent's around Cape Horn, thru the isthmus of Panama to Hawaii and finally to Yerba Buena (San Francisco) on the ship Brooklyn in 1846. My 3rd great grandparent's were Elijah Ward Pell and Seba Mattie Roberts Pell. I also have my parent's silver baby cups and spoons and my maternal grandfather's dog tags and medals he got as an infantryman in WW1. He received a Purple Heart, WW1 victory medal, a medal from the grateful citizens of St Mihiel and two other medals.
