My line connects to William R Matoy (Weeliah) b 1813 Cherokee Nation East, Habersham, GA. Married to Martha b. abt 1823. William was born to James (Oo-wuh-gah) Matoy b abt 1798 and Mary "Polly" Traylor b abt 1786 in Wilkes co. Ga. William moved to NC and was a confederate soldier NC Infantry Regiment, Thomas Legion Company 2A, ranked Private. William is buried in Indianola cemetary, Delaware county, OK d 1900. His daughter Nancy Ann was my 3rd ggrandmother. She is enrolled on dawes roll as Nancy Ann Clay #26314, blood: 1/8. If there is a connection please let me know.
