I'm H1b1, though I'm not Finnish.
Well, that I know of.
My mothers side of the family is Jewish, but were supposedly from Germany. I've seen a few people mention a connection to Sweden but I haven't been able to narrow anything down specifically. Pretty much all of my families connection to family in Germany was wiped out in the holocaust, so I'm afraid I don't know any more details besides...somewhere in Germany. Possibly Frankfurt.
I have to admit I'm a bit confused by the fairly common nature of H throughout Europe, but the rareness of h1b in europe...and the seemingly small handful of individuals scattered across a few countries I've seen who are h1b1. (Though the few I have seen have been in Finland, Russia, Estonia, Sweden and Hungary which makes me wonder if there is a Finno-Ugric connection to h1b1. My blood type is also B, which I understand is more common in certain areas of 'siberia'...probably unrelated but still interesting.)
Any way, nice to see other folks with ...similar genes...of a sort.
