Yes, we do appear to be cousins :) I have not seen you in my list of matches, yet, but will keep an eye opened for you. There is another member with whom I share DNA, who also descends (by paper trail) from John Walker and Anne Houston. After having a look at her tree, one of these two would be the likely connection for us, but I guess we can't be certain (if ever, we truly can be) till the raw data are released and more people in these lines test.

I am holding on to all 'far back' lines very tentatively, as several in my pedigree have proven false through Y-DNA testing reults. At the same time, there are a number of ancestors whom I attached to my tree with a high degree of scepticism - who, through both Y - and autosomal-DNA results - are showing themselves (probably) to be the bona fide 'maw' and 'paw' from way back when :)
