I have received many more matches since testing here than was the case for my father's sole sample at 23andMe, enabling much greater progress in tracing (tentatively) our family tree. Even so, we are 'baking blind,' at Ancestry. The relinquishment of our foundational DNA, combined with a clear and open understanding between this company and its customers, might resolve some of the frustration and confusion now evident.

As a layperson, I also would hope for a clearer and more certain guide for navigating through emerging technology than has been available to us up till this point. A gap remains to be filled by some 'musical' person, one who has the ability to communicate melody to an appreciative listener ... the student eager, though never having embraced an instrument.

Maybe Ancestry is hiring :) I hope so.

You invested in Ancestry to test your DNA, but also seem to have expected documentation of your family tree. Are there researchers on staff, whose expertise is included in this package?
