This is desperate attempt (LOL) to find relatives in my father's direct surname. I am trying to mainly get clues that maybe with help of working with others we can finally begin to crack the brick wall on Miles Linton ( 1811-1885). After all, that is why DNA was originally used in genealogy right? Although I will be glad to meet other "cousins" with common ancestors! I have had dna done here on Ancestry as well as 23andme and FTDNA. I have uploaded also to GEDmatch.com. Surely there are some of Miles Linton's descendants with enough DNA tested that we might can find just which line Miles really did come from other than guesses only....Miles was born in North or South Carolina in 1811 and then shows up in Henderson County TN at the birth of his son Elisha James and a daughter Mary Elizabeth . Sometime after 1835 he shows up in Mississippi...So if you have dna tested and somewhere in your tree you are kin to a Linton in these areas during these time frames,,, I know it is LOOOONNNGG shot, but maybe there would be a connection (dna being the proof of Some kind of connection) Anyone out there interested like me?
