I totally understand what you mean! I am British 44%, Irish 21%, Scandiva 19%, East EU 7%, West EU 3%, Spanish/Portguese 3%, Italian/Greek 2%, Parcific Island less then 1%
My mum's side is all English/Irish, but the Irish wasn't until my 7th great grandmother and my father's was Prussian, Irish, English, German, French, EU Jewish and poss' Scandinavian..I never got any Jewish atall! I haven't came across any Scandinavian but my great grandfather's niece done a DNA test and got Finnish so I'm wondering if it's from there, I have no idea about the Southern EU which is both only a trace let alone the Parcific Island! Lol
I am hoping the traces don't go to 0% as I love my results how they are and be abit gutted if they changed..
Anyways, I spoke to them about my results and it turns out it's the way you get the DNA, I always believed that you get 50/50 DNA from your parents, which you don't (which is why silbings can have different hair/eye colour) so my sister could be more Southern EU and less Irish then me, basically it's kinda a big random pool of genes that can go back hundreds of years and you have to remember the British aren't really 'British' because of the Vikings and so on..I hope this kinda makes more sense
