I just received (by e-mail) dna results and also find them questionable based on recorded family history. Mine showed 63% Great Britain and another strong percent for Irish. That fits one side of the family; however, the other side came from Prussia, and I see nothing that would indicate that. There were Native Americans in both of my parent's families--and the dna report shows 0 Native American. I'm just not sure the test is reliable or worth spending the money on. We have detailed family histories on both sides which were helpful when joining DAR. The records for my grandfather's family on one side were lost in a courthouse fire, and it's been impossible to locate information about his Native American grandmother. The DNA report doesn't seem to fit our family history.
