My father's DNA is proven by a close relative's DNA results (and I am having him take the Ancestry.com test in the coming weeks). I too thought the Great British could have been a result of getting all of my parents' Great British DNA but my range is 74% - 100% and my mother's is 0% - 38%. Only if I recieved nearly all of my father's Great British DNA and my mother's Great British DNA would I meet the percentage they have put me at, which is very unlikely. Also my 23andMe results point in another direction. In my standard results, I come out as 26.4% Great British, 8.5% French and German, 1.4% Scandinavian, 56.9% Broadly Northern European (not sure what countries are included in this result), 0.7% Eastern European, and 6.0% Broadly European. This result is nowhere near what AncestryDNA has me at and I am curious about why that is. I am sorry to be so argumentive and stubborn about this but I really want to get to the root of the problem and learn why my results seem so skewed.
Thanks and Best,
Sara
