Your father's test would have matches to his grandmother. And you as well. Basically any match that you have that your father does not have is to your maternal side, since you get 50% of your DNA from each parent.

You might want to consider uploading results to GedMatch in order to get more results beyond Ancestry set. Since Ancestry is only doing DNA tests in America you will have a limited pool of matches for Europe.
