I saw the postings last night and have begun to take screen shots of ancestry hint pages. These are valuable even if the common ancestor is not the "true" DNA match. We still share a common ancestral line and the "match" may have valuable information to share.
I hope that the new process just targets wonky segments and not very low or low matches in general. For example, my Mom has a low 6 cM 8 mB match with a lady who shares one of my Mom's rare Irish surnames. This lady had ancestors married in the same church where my Mom's great grandparents married a year later. Both couples had witnesses with the same last name...one that Mom was told was related to her family. I'll be watching to see if this match stays on our list.
I'm also wondering if emails to matches will stay intact. The links will disappear if the match goes but I hope that the emails remain in mail folders.
Guess we'll all see what happens!
