23andMe allows you to view the ethnicity component a few different ways with its "Ancestry Composition" tool:
- By region: global, regional, sub-regional
- By degree: conservative, standard, speculative

"Sub-regional" is where you'd see names of ethnic groups like Italian, Finnish, etc. The "global" setting resembles Ancestry and FTDNA pie charts.

"Speculative" is where you're more likely to see unusual groups and tiny percentages (at that level, Balkan 0.5%, Scandinavian 1.2%, British and Irish 7.8% suddenly emerge in my chart from the "Nonspecific European" category, for example).
