A list of Persons Who Died as a Result of the Great Earthquake
and Fire in San Francisco on April 18, 1906
This is a roster of names compiled from newspapers of those persons who died as a direct result of injuries received either at the time of the earthquake and fire, or during the latter half of April 1906.
Compiled by Gladys Hansen, this list will be of particular assistance to history buffs and family geneologists who are seeking lost relatives last heard from in San Francisco on April 18, 1906. The names and addresses have been verified, as far as possible, by checking each name in the 1905 San Francisco City Directory. The column of “Variant Spellings†is an assumption that names similarly spelled by hard-pressed newspaper staffs are the same person.
