My Grandfathers entire family also Parished in the Earthquake and Fire in San francisco...or thats where they were Living whenThey were LAST heard from , Yet Never heard from again.....My Grandfather Never liked Talking about his Family who he said Parished in this Earth quake and were Never Found or Identified.....They Lived at
8th & Howard when the Quake hit.......My Grandfather said he was all that was Left of his Immediate Family...he was Holding his Mothers Hand....when the Building Collapsed...and he Never saw her again........He was Raised By two Ladys....In their Home....all we remember is the Name "Barrett" ( Dont Know if they were Related some how either)...He was ONLY 4-5 at the Time of the Earth Quake....My GrandFathers BOB July 12, 1901(Edward Montague Manning in San francisco....But there are NO Records of that either...we have been Searching and Searching.......and all the records it seems they Parished with the People Never heard From Again...... so if you have a List....It would be of GREAT help.....If you Can check for any
" MANNING"..... You also Mentioned a List of People they Printed.....In the Paper that were declared Missing.....How do I get a Copy of that List?????
I some How remember ...My grandfathers FATHER Lived several Days?? Months?? after the Quake But died of Complications related to the Earth Quake Burns?? Pneumonia??? But he is NOT on the List either.....But then again ....We dont Know his FIRST Name....Last Name was "MANNING" Now also there was Possibly another Sibbling.....Brother who Parished also....BUT he Couldn't remember......My Grandfather died several years ago and we are Trying to Link Our Family history some where ......with others...
