I work at the Juneau-Douglas City Museum and we have a copy of the Master Index to Juneau Alaska Funeral Records 1898-1964. It lists many of the Princess Sophia victims and, where possible, where they were buried or where they were shipped. P. Vint is simply listed as date of death Oct. 25, 1918. It does not list either his date of birth or when/where buried as many of the others do. There are a number of victims like this. I'm not sure what that means. Possibly that the body was not recovered. He is not listed in the Evergreen Cemetery records where other victims were buried or in the Index of Vital Records as listed in the Douglas Island News.
He is listed in the Index of Vital Records for the Alaska Daily Empire 10/26/1918 page 1-4 thru 7 (sic) list of deaths on Princess Sophia. It looks in the index that it is just a list of names, perhaps off the manifest. There is no other listing at a later time. If you email the Alaska State Library at asl@eed.state.ak.us with the above newspaper, date, page and name of person they will make a copy of the article and send it to you.
Another option is to borrow on interlibrary loan a copy of the 1918 microfilmed paper and read it yourself, into the spring and summer of 1919. Shouldn't take too long as it is only few pages long and has a set formula so should soon know which page to check with each paper. Good luck.
