I was researching my tree yesterday and found that I too link to the Spooner family involved in the Sheffield flood. But, like yourselves I do not know how yet.

I've known for awhile that my ggg grandmother was Sarah Spooner wife of Joseph Wragg, Master Cutler. However I didn't know much about them from the census or BMD, so in act of desperation I googled their names and found that several Spooners including a Sarah (wife of Joseph Wragg, Cutler) were seeking damages in connection with the death of Hannah Spooner in the flood. I'm wondering whether Hannah is the mother of Sarah but I can't immediately find a link.

I'd be interested in what you do know and also where the grave is.
