Yes I was hoping to find Joseph Archer on the Lusitania Crew list do you have any more info ?

I am trying to prove or disprove a family 'story' which go a bit like this - that a member of a family was a member of crew on board a Liner which sank and gave his Life Jacket to a passenger, some years later the passenger returned to thank him. Joseph Archer was my Grandads Brother, if this is the correct one.

My problem is two fold my side of the Archer family - how should I put it ? ' are good at telling stories !' second was the ship the Lusitania or the Titanic. However I dont think that the E Archer (Deck Hand) on the Titanic is one of mine.

A report appeared in a news paper we think 'the Southern Evening Echo' or the Hampshire Times. I got a family member checking the Echo.
