I am based in Kerry, Ireland and writing a book on the girls sent from Workhouses in Kerry to Australia during the Famine. I have just seen your Ancestry message that your are related to Ellen Powell, Killarney. I am most interested in getting any information from you regarding Ellen, where she settled, her descendents etc. She is particularly important as the original list of girls from the Killarney workhouse is not in existence as far as we know and we are just trying to pick them out one by one
