Hallo, I have just found your message relating to Hughes families in Co. Louth.
I am the g-grandson of Elizabeth Louisa Hughes b. 1865 of James and Mary Jane Hughes in Carlingford. James was a constable as was his father Allen.
I have been researching this line for some time and have only made a breakthrough in the past months since more records have come on line. This has also put me in contact with a descendent of E.L.Hughes's brother James Samuel Hughes b.1866.
