I am doing research on Quantrill, but mostly his men. They are the ones who propelled him into history, but unfortunately, there is not a whole lot known about them or in many cases the info is incorrect. There were 3 Teague bros, but these are not related to Nat Tigue who rode with William "Bloody Bill" Anderson. Name may have been Nathaniel (can't confirm), but he did have a brother Neal who also rode with Anderson. Nat was at the battle of Centralia Sept 1864. He also went to Texas with George Shepherd and Dave Poole after Anderson was killed to spend the winter. In the spring 1865, Tigue returned to MO wiht Archie Clements, Jesse James, Maupin brothers. They murdered a Fed and robbed the bank in Kingston MO near Archie's home town. (Nat's cut was supposedly $6,000.) No record of Tigue surrendering in 1865, but if he was still with Archie and Jesse James, they never surrendered, fearing civil authorities would 'string 'em up' to the nearest tree. Hope this helps
