Hi Harry- my relatives have told me that Joseph Alvy (Alva) Garrison was in and out of jail or prison is why he abandoned his kids (one is my grandfather) after his wife died of typhoid fever in 1930. I am not able to confirm anything about whether or not he does have a criminal record or if these were just stories.... Joseph Alva/y Garrison (Dob: Dec 1, 1897) lived in Marion county in 1930 census and was born in Maryland. Do you show anything for this person between 1930 and 1940??
