STATEVILLE PRISON JOLIET, IL - 1930's - 1940's

Classification: Query
Surnames: LANTHORNE/LANTHORN
My great uncle Eugene Lanthorne, a.k.a James or Gene O'Connor, was sent to Stateville in 1932. Sentenced to two consecutive terms, one year to life on each. He escaped three times in the ten years he was there, the last resulted in his death in 1942 in Chicago, IL. After escaping with Roger Touhy and others. He's suppose to have a criminal record prior to 1932, and used many different aliases. I'm trying to find any information regarding him and possibley his prison records. This all took place in Chicago and was supposed to be in the paper during Oct-Dec. 1942 regarding the escaped gang called Roger Touhy's Gang. If anyone has any info regarding this I would really appreciate it. Does anyone have any idea's? Thanks.
