Hi- I am Steve Fermon My ggfather was Steve Fermon , the brother of John Ferman, their sisters name was Fannie. While I do NOT have any info about the validity of the charges against John, I did learn today from a 94 year old nephew of John and Steve that John was some sort of police officer/constable or something in Manchester at one time. (not at all sure of time period) It was told to me that John in his capacity as a lawman went to pickup a suspect gunfight broke out and John killed suspects family member. I was told that then a family member of deceased came to manchester-tried to shoot john in head, bystander pushed gun away and John was shot in the leg. I was told that John was blind in 1 eye and that in his later years he lived in a yellow house near or in Metamora?
