Yes!
We wrote to the TN department of corrections and they did contact us with further information on our record request and how to proceed to get a copy. I realize the information available may vary from one inmate or time period to another, but we received a copy of his convict record. This included crime, judge, physical description, occupation, education, and a few other things. A very interesting addition to our family history!
