Do you know if the Scott County, Arkansas Middletons were in Franklin County, Alabama before removing to Arkansas? I have some church meeting minutes for the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Site, Franklin County, Alabama. In those minutes John and Nancy Middleton are mentioned, especially John numerous times. Also mentioned as members are the following:
(Time frame about June - August 1840)
John Middleton, Sr. Dismissed
Nancy Middleton Dismissed
Richard R. Middleton Dismissed
Susan Middleton Dead
Franklin Middleton Dead

then later these entries: (believe the time frame November 1851)

Many of the church members removed to Scott County, Arkansas - among them my 3rd great grandparents and their children - the Hutchesons; also the Tates, Pruitts, Leatherwoods, Georges, Rogers, Harralds/Harrels, Rogers, McCains, etc.

Would appreciate info on the Middleton family...
