I had seen this a while back and thought maybe it could have been Lilbourn. If I remember right this happened in Missouri 1838. If his mother(Elizabeth) died in 1834 and Drury Poor contested her will, Lilbourn may have gotten disgusted and left Logan County.

Was Elizabeths daughter that married Herndon named Louisa? I thought I had seen that on a rootsweb tree.
