Hi, your message about Frank Jackson and the nice old man was so nice I just had to reply. Frank Jackson wasn't his real name and he died Jun 16, 1918 here in New Mexico. His brother had a son who was a lawyer in Texas and he asked his brother to see about a pardon. The brother refused and he never spoke to him again. He had black hair, fair skin and was a heller with a gun, and TB which eventually killed him in ElPaso. He also talked to Eugene Manlove Rhodes about his story but died before it got done. Oh, he and Sam were cousins, born about twenty miles apart in Indiana. GGrandpa had a lot of aliasis (sp)and was a good man. Those were violent times and a lot of people moved to New Mexico one step ahead of the law. He just wanted to clear his concience. Any how, I was wondering if the old man you speak of might be a relative and if you would tell me about him?
