What is your friends connection to Joseph? eg. which child of Joseph's does she descend from and how much of that lineage is confirmed?
Confirming the line can help sort out which Joseph and sometimes knowing where the information provided came from can help work out the kinks.

If purchasing birth certificates the one for the youngest child (last born) would probably be best as the earlier the year the less information they contained
