The death I posted was different to the one your formally mentioned.

On John's convict records it states he was in Goulburn. The death I posted was registered at Burrowa (Boorowa) which is in the same regional area as Goulburn. ((Sydney is quite a distance from Goulburn))

Maybe try the one I posted earlier. It doesn't state parents names which was common for convicts (as no one had ever met their parents and they weren't locals) but it also can mean they were never married and never discussed parents with a spouse. The age is a close enough match, the area is close to where he had been living (probably since arrival).
